What type of credentials do the health care providers at Mid-America hold?

Mid-America Hearing Centers is staffed by Hearing Instrument Specialists who are licensed by the state of Missouri, and some of whom are nationally Board Certified in Hearing Instrument Sciences.

How soon can I get my hearing aids?

We offer same day service at our facilities on most behind the ear hearing aid models.

Can I send you an audiogram and order a hearing aid by mail?

No. Selling hearing aids by mail is against the law in the State of Missouri.

Can your hearing aids filter out background noise?

No. No one can make a hearing aid that can do that. However, they do bring your volume level back up to an audible range in the frequency range related to speech. This enables you to hear sounds more easily.

How long do hearing aids last?

According to the FDA, the realistic life expectancy of most hearing aids is three to five years. During this time, you can expect to repair the hearing aid at least twice.

What is the warranty on your hearing aids?

Our "Economy" hearing aids come with a one year warranty. Our "Better" line of aids come with a two year warranty. Our "Better Plus" and "Premium" hearing aids have a three year warranty.

What forms of payment and discounts do you offer?

Payment for all goods and services are due at the time of your appointment. We do take cash, checks, and the major credit cards (Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express). We also offer Care Credit applications.
